Nuestras Historias: The CLRC Archive Project
Nuestras Historias is the 2015-16 iteration of the CLRC'S Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program. This project preserves the legacy of the CLRC and makes a wealth of historical materials dating back to our founding in 1992 publicly available. With these goals in mind, a group of undergraduate researchers has worked to establish the CLRC archive by collecting oral histories of the CLRC's founders and earliest directors and by building a digital repository. Commemorating the CLRC's 25th anniversary, Nuestras Historias will culminate with a public exhibition launch at McHenry Library on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 4:00-6:00pm.

As part of the Nuestras Historias’ team, I have learned archival methods, how to construct an online exhibit using the Omeka platform and how to create a webpage using WordPress. Some of my favorite materials in CLRC… Continue Reading A. Villa
